California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)
The governing body for approved high schools sports in California is the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF, www.cifstate.org), which is made up of 10 sections. The Northern California schools that we service may fall within the North Coast Section (NCS, www.cifncs.org), Central Coast Section (CCS, www.cifccs.org), San Francisco Section (SF, www.cifsf.org), or San Joaquin Section (SJS, www.cifsjs.org).
Within each of the Sections are multiple conferences, with each conference having multiple leagues.
